Procter & Gamble Home Products Limited

Our facility is up in Baddi, specifically in Village Katha within the Tehsil Nalagarh area. It is a different kind of place compared to the big city offices. While we are part of Procter & Gamble Home Products Limited, the day-to-day life here feels very local. Most of the people working on the lines are from the surrounding villages and towns in Himachal. The plant is quite large and there is always a lot of activity, with trucks coming in and out at all hours. We spend our shifts making sure the household products everyone knows are being produced correctly. It is a lot of standing and watching the machinery to make sure nothing goes wrong. The air here is a bit better than in the plains, but it is still a busy industrial zone. We do not have meetings about fancy missions; we mostly just talk about production targets and safety on the floor. It is practical work that requires everyone to pay attention. Sometimes the mountain weather makes things a bit difficult for transport, but we are used to that. We have a canteen where everyone sits together, and there is a real sense of community among the workers. We just show up, do our jobs as best we can, and help keep the place running smoothly. It is a solid, honest way to make a living for all of us here in the Baddi valley.
