Patel Brothers

Patel Brothers is right there beside P.K School at Sirmour Chowk. It is a noisy spot most of the time because of all the kids running around and the bells ringing for classes. We have been here for a good while and we’ve seen a lot of those kids grow up and start bringing their own families by the shop. Sirmour Chowk is always a bit of a mess with traffic and people crossing the street but we like being in the middle of it. The shop itself is packed with stuff from floor to ceiling and sometimes it takes a minute to find exactly what someone is looking for. We don't have those fancy scanners or automatic doors you see in the big city malls. We just write things down and talk to people while we work. The shelves are made of old wood that we painted a few years back. Sometimes the supply trucks show up late and we have to scramble to get everything unloaded before the school lets out and the sidewalk gets crowded. It’s a family run thing and we all take turns behind the counter. We don’t spend money on ads because everyone in the neighborhood knows where the Patel Brothers are. If the door is open we are working and if it’s closed we are probably taking a nap or eating lunch in the back room.
