Up here in Solan, things move a bit differently than they do in the big cities. Hpi-Himalyan Pipe Industries is based in Shakun Bhawan, which is over in Village Kleen. If you are heading towards the Post Office in Saproon, you’re in the right neighborhood. It’s a beautiful part of Himachal Pradesh, though the roads can be a bit of a challenge when the weather turns. Our office is a local building that we’ve used for quite some time now. We handle everything from here, from the phone calls to the paperwork. Being in a village like Kleen means everyone knows everyone else. It’s not a corporate park; it’s just a house that we’ve turned into our headquarters. We like the fresh air and the fact that we aren’t stuck in a cubicle in a basement somewhere. The views are good, and the environment is quiet enough that we can focus on our work without many distractions. Sometimes it’s hard to find us if you’re not from around here because the signs aren't very big, but just ask anyone in Saproon for Shakun Bhawan and they’ll point you the right way. We keep things simple and honest. We just want to do our job and go home to our families at the end of the day. It’s a good life here in Solan and we’re glad to be part of the community. We wouldn't want to be anywhere else really. It suits us just fine.
