Datist Christian Hospital

Datist Christian Hospital is situated at Block No.114. We don’t have a long, complicated address, just that simple block number, but people in the area know where we are. The hospital is a straightforward kind of place without a lot of bells and whistles. We have been in Block 114 for a long time, and the building reflects that—it’s seen better days, maybe, but it’s sturdy and it works for what we need. Inside, the hallways are a bit narrow and the lighting isn't always the brightest, but we make do with what we have. There’s a small garden area outside that we try to keep up, although the weeds usually win that battle. We have a small group of people working here, and most of us have been around for years, so we’re more like a family than anything else. We don’t spend money on fancy brochures or big signs. People just find us through word of mouth or because they’ve lived in this block for decades. The daily schedule is pretty much the same every day: we open the doors, check the supplies, and wait to see who needs us. It can be a bit slow some afternoons, while other times it feels like everyone arrives at once. We don't have a lot of fancy technology, just the stuff that’s necessary to do the job. It’s a very quiet, unassuming place that just keeps going because the people here need it and we are used to the routine.
