People in Mehre know exactly where we are because we’re right by the post office. It’s a quiet spot most of the time, especially in the mornings when the fog is still hanging over the village. We started Chambyal Dental Clinic because folks shouldn't have to travel all the way to the city just to get a tooth looked at. The office isn't fancy, just some clean chairs and the tools we need to do the work. My cousin actually helped paint the walls last summer, though he missed a few spots near the ceiling if you look close enough. We see a lot of the same faces every year. Sometimes it's a kid who’s a bit scared of the drill, and other times it's an old-timer just coming in for a chat and a quick check-up. The walk from Tahsil Barsar isn't too bad, so we get people coming from all over the local area. When the power goes out, which happens sometimes, we just sit on the porch and wait it out with some tea. It's just a regular part of life here. We keep our records in big paper files because that’s what we’re used to. It’s dusty work sometimes, but seeing someone leave without a toothache makes it worth the effort. The postman usually drops by around noon, and that’s when we take our lunch break. It is a simple place to work near the post office in Mehre.
