Ashoka Spanners Pvt. Ltd. operates out of units 88 and 89 in the Baddi Industrial Area. If you have ever been to Baddi, you know it is all about manufacturing and trucks moving in and out all day long. Our place is no different. We spend our days surrounded by steel and the heavy thump of the forging machines. It is loud and dusty work, but someone has to make the tools that everyone else uses. We don't have a fancy front office with air conditioning that works all the time. Mostly, we are out on the floor making sure the spanners are being formed correctly. It’s a lot of heat and hard work. The guys on the line have been doing this for years, so they can tell if a piece is off just by the sound it makes. We eat our lunch together in a small break area and then get right back to it. The industrial area can be a bit grim when it rains, with the mud and the puddles, but we stay busy inside. We don't really go in for big speeches or polished presentations. We just make the tools, pack them into crates, and send them off to wherever they are going next. It’s just how the days go by here. We keep our machines running and make sure the metal keeps moving. It is just honest labor in a part of town that knows what hard work looks like.
