Alps Pharma Fabrics

We are tucked away on the second floor of Amar Complex. It’s right across from the Hanuman Temple on The Mall. Being on the second floor means we carry a lot of stuff up and down the stairs. Alps Pharma Fabrics deals with specialized materials that are used in the pharmaceutical industry, like filter cloths and bags. It’s not the kind of fabric you’d use for a shirt. Most of our day is spent measuring out material and talking to factory managers who need specific sizes. The office isn't very big, and it’s usually filled with rolls of white fabric and boxes ready to be shipped. Since we are near the temple, we hear the bells and the crowds every morning and evening. It’s a nice sound to work to. The Mall is a busy spot, so finding parking for deliveries is always a bit of a struggle for our drivers. We have a few sewing machines in the back for custom orders. The air in here always has a bit of lint floating around. We don't really do much advertising; our customers are mostly people we've known for years. Sometimes the power goes out and we have to wait a bit to get back to work. We aren't a big corporation with a fancy website. It's just a few of us here making sure the orders are right and the quality is okay. It’s steady work and it keeps us occupied.
