This is Tomar Layer Farm Private Limited. We are based in Alapur, which is in the Siwan area of Bihar. Jai Ram Singh is the one who oversees things here, following in the footsteps of his father, Ram Paras Singh. Our main thing is running a layer farm, which means we deal with chickens and eggs all day long. If you've ever been to Alapur, you might have smelled a farm or two. It’s hard work and the day starts very early, usually before the sun is even up. Chickens don't wait for anyone. We have to feed them, check the water, and collect eggs throughout the day. It’s a constant cycle of cleaning and monitoring. The Siwan climate can be tricky for poultry, so we have to watch the temperature in the sheds carefully. Our setup is pretty standard for this part of Bihar. We aren't trying to be some massive industrial giant. We just produce eggs and manage the farm. People from the local markets come by to pick up crates. It’s a lot of manual labor and you definitely get your hands dirty. We don't have a fancy office with air conditioning. Most of our time is spent out with the birds or in the packing area. It’s a straightforward life and we just focus on keeping the farm running smoothly day after day without complicated plans.
