S.S. Public School

Dighwa Dubauli is a quiet place most of the time, and S.S. Public School is just another part of the landscape here. We don’t have any big skyscrapers or bright lights around us. It’s mostly just fields and small houses until you get to our front gate. The building is a simple structure that we try to keep tidy, though the dust from the road always finds its way inside somehow. We start the day quite early, before it gets too hot to think properly. The classrooms are basic, just the essentials like desks and chairs and a board for writing. We don't have a lot of high-tech gadgets, so we rely on books and talking to one another. During the lunch break, you can see kids sitting under the trees if there’s a bit of a breeze blowing through. It’s a slow pace of life compared to the big cities. We know most of the families around here by name, and they know us. Sometimes the power goes out, and we just open the windows wider and keep going with our work. The office is usually cluttered with stacks of paper and old registers that we haven't found a better place for yet. It’s a modest setup, but it’s where we spend our days. We don't have a cafeteria, so everyone brings their own tiffin and eats together. It feels more like a community spot than a formal institution most of the time we are here.
