If you want to find Shashi Meena Foundation, you have to head out to the village of Saraiyapar. We are located at the house of Sukhdev Prasad. It’s a bit of a journey if you are coming from the main town, but it’s a nice area. We fall under the Paithana post office and the Dhekwaha panchayat. Life in the village is different than in the city, and our foundation reflects that. It’s very much a grassroots thing. Sukhdev Prasad’s place is where we gather to talk and plan. There aren't any bright lights or big billboards around here. Just the village paths and the fields. We like the quiet of Saraiyapar. It allows us to focus on the community without all the distractions of the city. Most people in the panchayat know us by now. We don't have a fancy team of experts; we just have ourselves and our neighbors. It’s a very simple existence. Some days we are just sitting out on the porch discussing what needs to be done next. Shashi Meena Foundation isn’t some big corporate entity; it’s just a name on a house in a small village. We are fine with that. It’s where we belong, and it’s where we do our work. Nothing more, nothing less. We just keep our feet on the ground and our focus on what is right in front of us.
