Narayan General Store

Narayan General Store is located right in Ward No. 07 in Samsuddinpur. It’s easy to find because we are near the Revelganj Thana and the post office is just down the way. I started this shop because I wanted to work for myself and serve the people in my village. We have all kinds of stuff packed into the shelves, from soap and toothpaste to snacks for the kids. It gets pretty busy in the evenings when everyone is coming home from work. Sometimes the delivery guys are late and I have to apologize to neighbors for being out of something, but usually, we have what is needed. The shop isn't very large so every inch of wall space is used for hanging packets or stacking boxes. I have a small stool where I sit and wait for customers, often chatting about the weather or local news. My kids sometimes help out after school, though they mostly just want to eat the biscuits. It’s a quiet life here in Revelganj. We don't do any big advertising or anything fancy. People just know we are here when they run out of salt or tea leaves. The sign outside is a bit faded from the sun, but everyone knows the way. It’s just a basic shop where we try to keep things honest and the prices fair for the neighborhood. That’s how we have always run things and it seems to work out for everyone.
