Khushwant Readymade Centre

People usually find us because we are right near the hospitals here in Rasulpur. It gets pretty busy during the day when everyone is out on the street. Saran can be quite hot in the summer, so we try to keep the shop cool with a couple of fans. We started this readymade center a while back to help folks get their clothes without having to travel too far into the bigger cities. Most of the time it is just me and another person here keeping things organized. The shelves are always getting messed up because people like to unfold everything to see the size. It takes a lot of time to fold them back up every evening before we close. Sometimes the delivery trucks arrive late and we have to stay an extra hour to unload all the new boxes. The street outside is narrow so they can't park for long. We carry stuff for kids and adults too, mostly just regular daily wear. You won't find anything too fancy but it is good enough for most. The hospital visitors often stop by to pick up something quick. We have some tea in the afternoon when it gets quiet. My neighbor runs the little stall next door so we chat a lot. Life is just like that here in the taluka. It’s a lot of work but we’ve gotten used to the noise and the dust over the years.
