Sri Maalai Coconut Exims

You can find us at Sri Maalai Coconut Exims over on No. 87 East Car St. It’s a busy street and there is always something going on outside our door. We deal with coconuts, which is pretty common for this area, but we take it seriously. It’s a lot of physical work, moving bags and checking the quality of what comes in from the farms. Our space isn't huge, but we make it work. Most days are spent talking to drivers and making sure the loads are right before they head out. We’ve been here long enough that the neighbors all know us by name. We don't have a big marketing department or anything like that. We just have our phones and a few ledgers to keep track of things. Sometimes the smell of the coconuts is everywhere, but we’re used to it now. It feels like home. If you come by, you’ll probably see us in the middle of a shipment. We don't really have a front desk, just a place to sit and talk. We prefer it that way. It’s more personal. We just do our bit to get the products where they need to go. It’s steady work and it keeps us busy from Monday to Saturday. Sometimes even Sundays if the orders are backed up. We just keep our heads down and get through the pile of work on the desk.
