Sri Raja Auto Spares

Our shop sits right on Vembakottai Road at 182/2. It’s a busy stretch of road, so there is always dust flying around from the trucks passing by. We spend a good portion of the morning just wiping down the counters. We deal in auto spares, mostly stuff for the older vehicles you see around here. The shelves go all the way to the ceiling, and we have to use a rickety wooden ladder to reach the top rows. It’s a bit of a maze back there. Often, we find things we forgot we even had. My nephew helps out on the weekends when it gets crowded with people traveling through. We don't have a fancy computer system for the stock, just a big notebook and our own memory. It works well enough for us. Sometimes the rain leaks a little near the back door, so we have to move the cardboard boxes quickly. We usually have a radio playing some old songs in the background. It helps pass the time when no one is around. Most people who stop by are looking for something specific that the bigger city shops don't keep anymore. We try to help them out, though sometimes it takes a bit of searching through the crates. It’s just a small local business trying to keep things moving. We don't have a lot of bells and whistles, just the parts people need to get home.
