You can find us at number 42 in Thiruthangal. We are tucked away right near the Mariyaman Kovil, which is a big landmark for everyone living around here. During the festival times, the whole street gets blocked off and it's incredibly loud and colorful, which we actually quite enjoy even if it makes getting to work a bit harder. We have been operating from this same spot for a long time. It’s just a basic building, nothing that would stand out to a stranger, but it works for what we do. Most of our day is spent handling orders and talking to the people who walk past on their way to the temple. The morning air is usually nice before the sun gets too high and things start heating up. We don't have any big corporate goals or anything like that. We just want to make sure the work gets done and our customers are treated fairly when they step inside. It's a quiet kind of business for the most part, except for the temple bells and the occasional goat wandering by. We know most of the families in the area by name now. It’s just how things are in a place like Thiruthangal. We keep the doors open and wait to see who stops in. Sometimes the rains make the street messy, but we just sweep it out and keep going. It is just a steady, simple daily life for us here.
