Raja Durga Herbel Oil Extractors

We operate out of 2/764 Ezhil Nagar, right by the New Housing Board area. This place is more of a workshop than an office. We spend most of our time dealing with the extractors and the herbs that come in. It gets quite noisy when the machines are running, and the smell of the oils is really strong. You can usually smell us before you see the sign. It’s a thick, herbal scent that sticks to your clothes, but we don't mind it anymore. The housing board area is always busy with people moving around, so there’s always something to look at out the window. We started this because we knew how to work the machines and we liked the idea of making something ourselves. It’s physical work. We’re often lifting heavy bags or cleaning out the drums after a run. We don't have a marketing department or a fancy website. Most of our business comes from people in the neighborhood or folks who’ve heard about our oils from their neighbors. The floor is usually a bit oily, no matter how much we scrub it, but that’s just the nature of the business. We keep our tools in the corner and try to stay on top of the orders. It’s just a small group of us here, working hard and trying to make a living in Ezhil Nagar.
