The Tamilnadu Fire Works Amorces Manufacturers Association

The Tamilnadu Fire Works Amorces Manufacturers Association is based right in the middle of Sivakasi. We are located at the Tanfama Centre, 442 Kamarajar Road. Our mailing address includes Post Box No. 287. Sivakasi is a town that is famous for its firework industry, and we have been a part of that landscape for a very long time. Most people around here just call us TANFAMA. Our office is not anything special to look at, just a practical place where we handle the needs of the local manufacturers. There are many factories in this part of Tamil Nadu, and we act as a central point for them. The building on Kamarajar Road is easy to spot once you are in the area. Inside, it is usually a mix of phone calls and paperwork. It gets quite hot here in the summer months, but we just keep the fans running and keep working. We are not a company trying to sell you something. We are an association that looks after the interests of the people making amorces and crackers. It is a lot of coordination and talking to government offices. We have piles of records and old ledgers in the back. The staff here has been around for years, so we know most of the factory owners by their first names. It is a tight-knit community, and we are just glad to be a part of it.
