Karaimurugan Crane Service

You can find us over at 177 A on Nehru Road, right in the middle of the Parasakthi Colony area. We keep our equipment parked around here, and it’s also where we do most of the repair work on the cranes. It’s a pretty loud job, especially when we’re testing out the engines or moving the heavy steel hooks around in the yard. The neighbors are mostly used to the noise by now, I think. We’ve been working out of this same spot for a good while. It’s a practical location because we can get onto the main road fairly quickly whenever a call comes in for a job. The yard gets really muddy and messy when it rains, so we’re constantly cleaning off the tires and the stabilizers. We don't have a big fancy office with a secretary, just a small room where we keep the truck keys and the maintenance logbooks. Most of the time we’re out on a job site anyway, so the office stays empty. It’s heavy, tiring work and it really wears you out by the end of the day, but it’s what we do. Sometimes we have to head out in the middle of the night if there’s some kind of emergency. We just take the work as it comes to us. The cranes are getting old now, but we keep them in good shape. There’s always a bolt that needs tightening or some hydraulic oil that needs topping up.
