Jam Jam Masala

If you’re ever near the Government Hospital in Nathagiri, you’ll probably find Jam Jam Masala pretty easily. We’re located at 1/17, and honestly, you can usually follow the smell of roasted coriander and chilies to get to our door. It’s a small place, and it’s always a bit hectic. We’ve got the grinding machines running for most of the day, so there’s a constant hum in the background. My cousins and I run the place, and we’ve been doing it this way for quite some time. We don’t have any fancy marketing degrees or big business plans. We just buy the raw spices from the market, clean them by hand, and grind them up. Sometimes the dust makes us sneeze all day, but you get used to it after a while. The shop isn't much to look at, just some shelves with packets and a heavy wooden counter where we weigh everything out. We use an old scale that’s been in the family for years. It’s still accurate enough for us. People in Nathagiri know they can just walk in and get what they need for their cooking. We don't really do bulk shipping or anything complicated like that. It’s mostly just local people and a few small restaurants nearby. We try to keep things simple and honest. If a batch isn't right, we don't sell it. It’s a lot of work for a little bit of profit, but it’s what we know.
