Esther Granites

Esther Granites is located right on Kalugumalai Road here in Parapatti. It is easy to find if you are driving through. We have been working with stone for a long time. It is not a complicated business. We get the slabs in and we help people pick what they need for their floors or stairs. The yard is open to the air so you can see the natural colors of the granite better in the daylight. Sometimes the rain makes everything look darker but that’s actually good because it shows the real pattern of the stone. We don't have a big office staff. It is usually just a couple of us handling the heavy lifting and talking to the customers who pull over. Most of the people who come by are local builders or families from the village. We know how hard it is to build a home, so we just try to be straight with people about what we have in stock. The inventory moves around a lot. One day we might have a lot of dark slabs and the next it is all light tones. We keep the equipment running and try to make sure the cuts are clean. It’s dusty and noisy work most of the time. But we are used to it by now. It’s just what we do every day. We don't have a receptionist, so if we are in the back with the machines, you might have to shout a bit to get our attention. That is just how we operate.
