Computer Solution Point

Computer Solution Point is located at 31 and 32 in the Sri Rama Mansion, which is right near the Thangamani Theatre. You can often hear the sound from the movies if you stand near the front door. We have two units because one got too crowded with all the old monitors and spare towers we keep for parts. It’s a busy building with a lot of stairs and people moving around. We spend our time fixing laptops, cleaning out dust from fans, and trying to make old computers run a little bit faster. The desks are usually covered in cables and various screwdrivers. We don't really follow a strict corporate schedule; we stay until the work is done for the day. Sometimes a customer comes in with a computer that won’t even turn on, and we have to spend hours figuring out which chip went bad. Being near the theatre means there are always snacks nearby, which is good when we're working late. We’ve been at Sri Rama Mansion for several years, so we’ve seen computers change from those big heavy boxes to the thin ones people use now. We aren't fancy and we don't have a big marketing budget. We just sit here and work on whatever comes through the door. It’s a lot of troubleshooting and trial and error. People seem to appreciate that we just give them the facts without any fluff.
