Uma Hospitals

Singampunari is a quiet place mostly, and we are right on North Street where everyone passes by at some point during the week. Uma Hospitals isn't a massive complex, just a solid building that has been serving the local people for quite a while now. The day starts early here, usually with the sound of the shutters going up and the first few patients waiting by the door. We don't have those fancy automatic doors or a lobby that looks like a hotel. It’s just a place where we work hard to keep things running. The hallways can be a bit narrow, and the paint is peeling a little in the corner of the waiting room, but it doesn't stop us from doing what needs to be done. We know most of the people in town by their names, and we’ve seen their kids grow up over the years. In the afternoons, when it gets really hot outside, the old ceiling fans hum loudly, and we usually share some tea in the back room. It’s a busy life, and sometimes it gets stressful when there are more people than we expected, but we just take it one person at a time. The street outside can get pretty muddy when it rains, so we are always mopping the floors to keep the dirt out. We are just a local hospital on a normal street, trying to stay useful to the folks who live in this area.
