Our office for Qualms Constructions Private Limited is right on the Madurai Main Road. We are at 46/1 in Thirupattur. It’s a good spot because everyone passes by here when they are heading into the Sivagangai district. We have a lot of dust from the road sometimes, but it’s a practical location for a construction business. We spend a lot of time traveling between here and the actual sites. It’s mostly rural work around here, building things that people actually need for their homes or farms. We aren't doing skyscraper projects or anything like that. We just do the basic construction stuff. The team is small. We know the local suppliers and we know where to get the best sand and bricks in this part of the state. Sometimes the rain slows us down, especially during the monsoon months. We sit in the office and catch up on the books then. It is a quiet kind of life in Sivagangai compared to the big cities. We prefer it that way. We talk to the neighbors and the local shops. Most of our work comes from people just knowing who we are and seeing our trucks on the road. We don't put out ads. We just show up and do the job. It’s a lot of manual work and checking the levels. That is basically what we do every day. We just keep our heads down and build. (249 words)
