Premji Neuro Hospital & Icu

Our place is over in Thorapadi, specifically on the Chitteri Amirthi Main Road. It’s a bit of a different vibe out here compared to the city center. The road can get quite dusty during the dry season. We focus on neuro care and have an ICU set up for the more difficult cases. It’s a practical building. We didn't build it to look like a hotel; it’s built to hold medical equipment and beds. The hallways are wide enough for the gurneys, and that’s what matters most. Most of our staff lives in the Thorapadi area, so we’re all locals here. We know the neighbors and the local shops. Dealing with neurological issues means things are often very quiet in certain parts of the hospital and very loud in others. We spend a lot of time talking to families who are worried about their relatives. It’s a lot of explaining things and checking monitors. The main road outside usually has buses and bikes zooming past. We have to keep the gates managed so it doesn't get too chaotic out front. There’s always someone on duty, day or night. It’s just the daily routine of checking vitals and making sure the patients are as comfortable as they can be in a place like this. We’ve been here for a few years and have seen the neighborhood grow around us.
