We are based out in Veerasekarapuram at No. 272 on the Karunavelkudi Main Road. It’s in the Puduvayal area of Sivaganga. Being out here means we are close to the people we actually work with. Farmers and Homemakers India Llp is basically about connecting what's grown or made in the homes to the wider market. It’s a small operation. We have a modest office space that we share. Most of our time is spent out and about rather than sitting behind a desk. We talk to local farmers and women who make things at home. It’s a lot of listening and trying to figure out how to help them sell their stuff. We don't have a big marketing budget. We mostly use our local connections. The roads around here can be a bit rough, but we don't mind the drive. We started this because we saw a lot of good products going to waste. It’s just a few of us trying to make a difference in our own small way. We don't use corporate jargon or have fancy titles. My cousin handles the accounts and I do the outreach. It’s honest work. Sometimes we have meetings under the big tree outside because it’s cooler than being indoors. We take things one day at a time. It’s not a fast-paced life, but it’s a busy one. We’re glad to be part of this community and hope to keep doing this for a long time.
