Carry On Play School

You’ll find us at 49 Periya Kadai Veedhi right in Singampunari. It’s a lively area with plenty of shops nearby, so there’s always people moving around outside. Being a play school, the atmosphere inside is usually quite energetic. We have several rooms where the kids spend their time playing and learning the basics. The building is an older one, but it’s sturdy and we keep it as clean as we can. We aren't interested in being a big fancy institution. We just provide a spot where parents can leave their kids while they go to work or run errands. The staff here are mostly local women who have raised their own kids and know how to keep an eye on things. We have a few shelves of books and some bins of toys that have seen better days but still work fine. The floor is covered with mats so the kids don't get too dusty while they're on the ground. We don't have a big marketing team or anything like that. People mostly find out about us because their neighbor’s kid came here. It's just a simple, everyday part of the street. We open the doors in the morning, let the kids in, and spend the day making sure they're safe and occupied. When the sun starts to go down, the parents come back and we do it all again the next day. It is just life in Singampunari.
