Azeez'S & Co. has its shop at 113/A on Sekkalai Road in Karaikudi. We are very close to the Periyar Statue, so everyone knows where to find us. Karaikudi is a town with a lot of history, and this street is always active with people going about their daily business. Our place is quite traditional. It’s a single-story building with a wide entrance that stays open all day to let the breeze in. Inside, it feels a bit cooler than it does out on the road. We have old wooden counters and shelves that have been there for years. The floor is that old-fashioned stone that stays cold. We aren't big on technology or fancy computers here. Most of our records are kept in big ledgers with handwritten notes. It’s a quiet way of doing things, but it works for us. You can hear the bells from the temple nearby and the honking of the local buses passing by the statue. People from the surrounding villages often stop in, and we end up chatting for a while before getting down to business. It is a slow pace of life compared to the big cities, but we prefer it that way. We know almost everyone who walks past our door. It isn't just a business; it’s just part of our life here on Sekkalai Road, staying consistent year after year.
