Gayatri Printers

Gayatri Printers is set up on Pandri Khera Road, right near the Vishkarma Dharam Kanta. It’s a spot that’s easy to find once you know where the dharam kanta is. The road out front can be a bit dusty, especially when the big trucks go by, so we have to wipe down the machines pretty often. It’s a basic setup we’ve got here. We have our main presses in the middle of the room and a long table for sorting everything out. Most of the work involves a lot of waiting for the machines to finish their cycles. We spend that time cleaning up or prepping the next batch of paper. Being on Pandri Khera Road means we see a lot of local workers and business owners coming by. We don’t have a fancy waiting area, just a bench and some old magazines. Sometimes the power cuts out and we have to wait for the generator to kick in, which is just one of those things you deal with. We’ve been here long enough that we know the sounds of the machines by heart; if something sounds slightly off, we know we need to stop and oil the parts. It’s hard work and it gets our clothes dirty, but it’s what we do. We just focus on the task at hand and try to keep the paper moving through the rollers without any big problems or delays.
