The Modern Shop

Our shop is right in Greek Ganj, practically next to the Union Bank of India. It’s a busy spot, so there’s always something happening outside the door. We opened The Modern Shop to provide things people in the neighborhood actually need. It’s not a huge place, but we pack a lot into the shelves we have. You might have to squeeze past a crate or two if we just got a delivery. We don't have a fancy website or a big marketing team. It’s just us behind the counter most days. We know a lot of our customers by their first names since they’ve been coming here for years. The name says modern, but we still do things the old-fashioned way. We write stuff down and keep track of things by hand mostly. Sometimes the lighting is a bit dim in the back corner, but we know where everything is. If you're walking by the bank, you can’t miss us. It’s a practical setup for a local business. We don't try to be anything we aren't. Just a shop in Greek Ganj trying to keep the shelves stocked. People come in, get what they need, and have a quick chat. That’s our day. We like the routine of it all and being part of this street. There is something nice about a small shop.
