Down here on Chitra Cinema Road in Civil Lines, things stay pretty busy throughout the week. Rekha Drishti Eye Care is tucked into number 49, and it is a spot most locals recognize if they spend any time in this area. Being near the cinema means there is always noise and people moving around outside the door. We spend most of our time inside the clinic, checking eyes and talking to people about their glasses. The rooms aren't huge, but they serve the purpose. We have a few chairs for people to sit while they wait their turn. Sometimes the power goes out and we have to wait a minute for things to kick back in, which is just part of living in this city. Our team is small, just a few of us who have worked together for a long time. We know who likes to come in early and who prefers the late afternoon slots. We don't spend much time on fancy decorations or anything. Mostly, we just keep the equipment clean and make sure the lenses are sorted right. It’s a straightforward job, and we like the routine of it. On Saturdays, it gets a bit more hectic with families coming in after school. We try to keep things moving so nobody is stuck sitting there for hours. It’s just a regular local eye place in a busy part of Civil Lines. We usually close up once the last person is taken care of.
