Pushpak Verma

My name is Pushpak Verma and I run things here in Mahmudabad. Sitapur is where I grew up and where I decided to stay. It's a small place, nothing too special to look at, but it works for us. I spend most of my day dealing with whatever comes through the door. Some people think running a business in Sitapur is easy but there are always little problems to solve. I have a small space here in Mahmudabad. It gets pretty hot in the afternoons so we usually have the fan going full blast. I don't have a big team or anything, just a couple of guys who know the area well. We handle various tasks that come our way. Sometimes it’s paperwork, sometimes it’s more hands-on. I’ve been at this for a few years now. The neighbors are good people. We share news about what is happening in the town. Sitapur has changed a bit over time but Mahmudabad still feels the same to me. I don’t use a computer for everything because I still like writing things down in my ledger. It feels more real that way. If you are ever passing through this part of Sitapur, you might see me sitting outside when the power goes out. We don’t have any big goals of becoming a giant company. We just want to keep things moving along day by day. It is just basic work and we are happy with that. No need to complicate things too much.
