Premraj Masala Udyog (Opc) Private Limited is located in Kanhauli, which is in the Bharasar area of Sonbarsa. We are over in Ward No 10, Sitamarhi district. This is a family effort, run through the house of Raj Kumari Devi and Prem Paswan. We’ve been living in this part of Bihar for a long time. The business is all about spices. We take raw ingredients and process them right here. It’s a noisy business because the grinders are always running. You can hear them from the street. We didn't want to go to the city to find work, so we brought the work to Kanhauli. It’s a small village and everyone knows what we’re doing. We don't have a website or a social media page. Most of our customers are just people from the surrounding villages who need good spices for their cooking. We keep the place as clean as we can, though dust from the spices is hard to manage. We work long hours, especially during the wedding season when everyone needs more masala. It’s not a glamorous job. Your hands get stained and your eyes might sting from the peppers. But it’s ours. We handle everything ourselves from start to finish, which is something we like. We aren't a big industry, just a local udyog trying to do things the right way. We’ve converted part of the back area into our spice workshop. It’s not a big space, but we’ve organized it well.
