Living and working near Shri Janki Mandir at Janki Sthan has its own kind of rhythm. You hear the temple bells throughout the day, which is actually quite nice when things get stressful. Medha Art is just a small place, and if you aren't looking closely, you might walk right past us. We have a lot of stuff piled up inside, mostly materials we use for our daily tasks. It gets a bit cramped when more than two people are standing in the front area, but we manage somehow. The floors are a little uneven and the ceiling fan makes a clicking noise that we have just gotten used to over the years. We spend most of our time working with our hands, so our clothes usually have a bit of smudge or dust on them by lunchtime. The neighborhood is fairly quiet in the afternoons, but it picks up when people come to the Mandir in the evenings. We like being part of this little corner of the world. There is no big sign or anything flashy outside, just our name and the work we do. Sometimes the power goes out and we just sit outside on the steps until it comes back on. It is not a corporate office or anything like that, just a regular workshop where we try to stay busy. We have known the shopkeepers nearby for a long time now, and we all help each other out when needed.
