Aushdhi Angregi Dawakhana

Aushdhi Angregi Dawakhana is located at Mahanth Sah Chawk on Thana Road in the bazaar area. It’s right in the middle of all the market chaos. You have the vegetable sellers nearby and all the other shops selling clothes and hardware. Our shop is small and a bit dark inside, but we have good lights over the counter. We mostly sell English medicines, as the name says. The shelves are packed tight. Sometimes it’s a struggle to fit new stock in when the distributor brings the boxes. We have an old ceiling fan that wobbles a bit, but it keeps the air moving. People from the surrounding villages often come here when they visit the bazaar. They bring their prescriptions and we do our best to help them. It’s a busy life. There is always someone shouting outside or a bike horn honking. We don't mind it. The floor is made of grey stone and it stays relatively cool. We spend our days counting out tablets and putting them into small envelopes. We don't have a computer system, so we remember where most things are by heart. If you ask for something, I can usually point to the exact shelf without looking. It’s a humble place, just a regular part of the bazaar. We've been here for years and the locals know they can find us here every day except for holidays.
