Aadarshpreet Foundation

Aadarshpreet Foundation is located at Husnara Begum’s residence. We are over in Rajdev Pur Shahri. It’s a place where everyone knows their neighbors’ names. We aren’t some big organization from the city. We are just people from the local area. Our office is basically a room in the house where we keep our files and meet anyone who needs us. Husnara is often there to greet people. We don’t have a lot of rules or a corporate handbook. We just try to help out where we can. The neighborhood is fairly quiet, which is nice for getting work done. We spend our mornings checking on things and our afternoons talking to locals. There is no marketing budget here. We don’t even have a big sign. People find us by word of mouth or by asking around Rajdev Pur Shahri. We use old-fashioned ledgers to keep track of what we do. It’s not the fastest way, but it works for us. Sometimes we have tea and just listen to what people have to say. It is a very humble setup. We don't pretend to be more than we are. Just a small foundation trying to stay active in our own community. The street gets a bit noisy when the school nearby lets out, but otherwise, it's a good place to work. We've been here for a little while now and have finally figured out where to store everything.
