Shambhavi Traders

Our place is at 342 on the Bellary to Gulbarga Road. It’s a long stretch of road and we see a lot of trucks and travelers passing by every single day. The dust from the road is something we just got used to over the years. We opened up Shambhavi Traders here because it seemed like a good spot where people could pull over easily. It’s a simple building, nothing too special to look at from the outside. Inside, we keep our stock piled up and try to keep track of everything coming in and out. Dealing with traders and drivers is most of our day. It gets very hot in the afternoons, so we usually have the big doors open to catch any breeze. We don’t have a big team, just a few of us making sure things move along. Sometimes the supply trucks are late and we have to wait around for a long time. That’s just how it goes on this route. We’ve been here a while now and most of the regulars know us by name. It’s not the quietest spot to work with all the engine noise outside, but we like being right on the main path. We just focus on getting the day's work finished so we can head home. It’s a practical way to earn a living and we don’t ask for much more than that. The work is steady enough for us.
