Ilayaraja & Co

We've been at 65-21 in Sirugamani for a while now. Most people around here know the spot. It isn't a huge place, just a regular shop where we get on with things. Some days are busier than others, especially when the weather is nice and people are out walking. We open up early, sweep the front, and get ready for whoever walks through the door. It's mostly locals coming by. We know many of them by name, or at least we recognize their faces. There isn't much to say about how we started. My family just needed something to do, so we set up Ilayaraja & Co. The building has its quirks, like the door that sticks a bit in the rain, but it works for us. We keep things simple. You won't find anything fancy here. Just the stuff people need. Sometimes we sit outside on stools when it's quiet. People stop to talk about the crops or the local news. We don't have a website or anything like that usually. This is just where we are every day. If you pass by Sirugamani, you'll see the sign. It’s been there long enough that the paint is fading a little. We don't mind. The work gets done, and we go home at the end of the day. That’s pretty much the whole story. Nothing complicated about it. We just keep the lights on, fix what breaks, and help the folks who come in.
