Out in Hansi, things move a bit slower than in the big cities. Our office is in Bhatia Colony at House Number 112/23. It’s a small town in the Hissar district of Haryana and everyone seems to know everyone else. The office is really just a couple of rooms that we’ve set up with basic furniture and some computers. We don't have a lot of visitors, so it’s usually just the few of us sitting there working through the files. The walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, and the ceiling fan makes a clicking noise that we’ve all stopped noticing. We spend a lot of time on the phone or writing letters. It is a quiet life here in the colony. In the winter, it gets quite cold and we all sit with our jackets on while we work. In the summer, it’s the opposite and we just try to stay cool. There aren't any big speeches or grand goals here. We just have a job to do and we do it the best we can with what we have. Most of our day is spent making sure the records are right and answering any questions that come in. It’s a very practical environment without any of the fluff you find in bigger corporations. We like the simplicity of working in a place like Hansi where things are straightforward and predictable.
