New Ashoka Hotel

New Ashoka Hotel has been on G.T. Road in Hansi for a long time now. We are situated right opposite the New Court, which means we see all sorts of people through the day. There are lawyers who come in looking stressed and families who are just passing through Hissar on their way somewhere else. The traffic on the main road never really stops, so there is always a bit of noise and dust coming in from the front. We try to keep things organized, but on busy days, it can get a little chaotic inside when everyone wants their tea at the same time. The furniture is simple and we haven't changed the layout in years because it just works for us. It’s a practical spot for a break. Sometimes the power goes out and we have to mess with the generator, which is always a bit of a headache. The staff has been around for a while and they know how things go. We don't have any big signs or bright lights to attract people, just the name on the front that everyone recognizes by now. The tea is always on and the kitchen stays busy from morning till late evening. It’s not a fancy hotel like you see in the big cities, but it’s a steady place in Hansi. We just keep things moving, one day at a time, making sure whoever walks in gets a decent place to sit and something to eat before they head back out to the court.
