Yashpal Pan Corner

You can find us on Palace Road, which gets quite a lot of traffic from people visiting the sights nearby. It’s a small corner shop, mostly known for our pan and a few other things people like to pick up. We don't have a lot of room, but we’ve organized everything so it’s easy to reach. Most of our customers stop by in the evenings when the weather cools down and they are out for a stroll. We spend a lot of time preparing the leaves and the different fillings. It’s a bit of a craft, and you have to have a steady hand for it. We see a mix of tourists and local residents every day. Some people have been coming to this same corner for years to get their pan after dinner. We don’t really have a big team, just me and occasionally some help when it gets too busy. It’s a simple life, standing here and watching the cars go by on Palace Road. We keep the shop open until pretty late because that’s when most people want to stop by. It’s not a fancy place by any means. Just a wooden counter and some shelves. We try to keep things friendly and quick. If you’re walking down towards the palace, you’ll likely see us there. It’s just an honest little business doing what it does best for the people who pass through.
