Christmas Gift Box

We are out here at Plot No. G20 in the RICCO Industrial Area in Swarupganj. It’s a big dusty area with lots of other sheds and factories around us. Since the business is called Christmas Gift Box you might think it’s all bright and shiny but mostly it’s just a lot of cardboard and packing tape. We spend the day folding boxes and making sure everything is stacked right so nothing falls over. It can get pretty hot in the afternoon under the metal roof and the fans just move the warm air around. We have a small area where we sit down for breaks and talk about whatever is happening in town. The RICCO area is always full of trucks coming in and out so you have to be careful when you’re walking near the road. There is a lot of noise from the other plots nearby with machines running and people shouting to be heard over the engines. We keep our tools on a workbench that has seen better days. It is a bit of a trek to get out here but we have been at this spot for a while now. We just keep our heads down and handle the orders as they come through the door. It’s honest work and it keeps us moving from morning until it’s time to lock up. We don't have much time for sitting around when there are boxes to be made.
