Penter Nandu

I am Nandu and I have been doing this painting work for a long time now. My small place is located on Krishan Nagar Raj Mata Dharamshala Road. It is not a very big shop, just a room where I keep my ladders, tins, and brushes. I started doing this when I was quite young, helping out and learning how to mix colors properly so they don't look patchy on the walls. Most of the people around here know me just as Nandu the painter. I don't have a big team or anything, usually it is just me and maybe one or two boys if the house is big. We mostly do residential houses in the neighborhood. People stop by the shop or just call out to me when I am walking down the road. It gets very busy before the big holidays when everyone wants their home to look fresh. I don't use any fancy machinery, just my hands and some good rollers. Sometimes the weather is too humid and the paint takes forever to dry, which is frustrating, but that is part of the job. I don't have a website or a marketing person. I just write my name on a board outside. It is simple work but it keeps me busy. I like seeing a dirty wall turn clean and bright. That is enough for me. I’m usually there from morning till late.
