Painter Arvind Lohar

My name is Arvind Lohar and I do painting work here in Pinwada. My place is located on Palace Road, right near the Mukampur Sarkari Hospital. If you are walking towards the hospital, you will probably see me or some of my gear nearby. It is a simple setup because I spend most of my time out at different houses or buildings anyway. I have been doing this for a long time, mostly just painting walls and fixing up surfaces that have seen better days. I don't have a big company with lots of office staff. It is just me and sometimes a couple of helpers when the job is too big for one person. My brushes and buckets are always kept ready in my storage space. The area around the hospital is usually quite busy with people coming and going. I grew up around here so I know most of the families and shop owners on Palace Road. Sometimes I am painting a new shop and other times I am just helping someone freshen up their living room. It’s hard work, especially when the sun is out, but I like seeing the difference a new coat of paint makes. I keep my prices fair because I know how it is for people living around here. Painting is honest work and it keeps me active every day. I'll keep doing it as long as I can hold a brush. I don't use any fancy machines, just my hands.
