You can find us at number 5 on Palace Road, right near the Choti Masjid. M K B Organic Farming Pvt Ltd is our small operation here. We don't have a giant farm right in the middle of the city, obviously. This is more where we handle the paperwork and meet people who are interested in what we grow. We spend a lot of time talking about soil and seeds. It’s not the most exciting thing for everyone, but it’s what we do. We try to keep things simple and follow the old ways of growing things without all those chemicals. It’s more work and sometimes the crops don't look as perfect as the stuff in the big supermarkets, but they taste better. We deal with local farmers and help get their produce to people who want it. The office is pretty basic, just a few desks and some samples of what we're working on. Sometimes it smells like earth in here. We aren't trying to be some big corporate entity, despite the "Pvt Ltd" in the name. That’s just for the legal side of things. At heart, we're just people who care about how food is grown. It’s a slow process and you can’t rush nature. We take things day by day and hope for good rain and healthy plants. We usually have some tea ready if you want to sit and talk about farming for a while.
