Krishna Watch Sale & Service

We are located right in the middle of Sadar Bazar, which as anyone knows, is a pretty hectic place to be most days of the week. Krishna Watch Sale & Service has been around this part of town for a good while. We spend a lot of our time looking through those little magnifying glasses at tiny gears and springs. It’s a lot of sitting still, which is funny because the market outside is so loud and moving fast. People come in with watches that stopped ticking years ago, or maybe they just need a new battery because they have a wedding to go to. We have some new watches in the glass cases too, but the repair side keeps us moving. The shop isn't huge, so it gets a bit cramped when three or four people are standing inside at once. Sadar Bazar has its own rhythm, and we are just a small part of that. We see the same faces every morning when the shutters go up. Sometimes we just sit and talk to the neighbors about how the business is changing now that everyone uses their phones to check the time. But people still love their wristwatches, especially the old mechanical ones. We try to get the hands moving again. It’s just how we spend our days here. Nothing too complicated about it. We usually close up when the street lights come on and the market starts to quiet down a little bit.
