Gandhi Collection

Gandhi Collection is our shop located near the Ganesh Temple in Sheoganj. Being so close to the temple means we see a lot of people every day, especially during the festivals and on auspicious days. It’s a nice place to be because there’s always a bit of a peaceful vibe from the temple nearby, even when the streets are busy. Our shop is mostly focused on clothes and textiles. We don't have a big fancy storefront with mannequins in the window. We just put out what we have and let people look through the piles. It’s a bit messy sometimes, I’ll admit, but that’s just how we work. We aren't corporate people with uniforms or scripts. We just talk to people like they are our neighbors, because usually, they are. Sheoganj is a small enough place that you get to know the faces. We’ve been at this location for a good bit of time and the locals know where to find us. Sometimes the rain leaks a little near the back door, but we put a bucket there and keep going. It’s just a regular local shop where we try to keep things honest and simple. We open up when the temple bells start in the morning and we head home once things quiet down in the evening. It’s a steady life and we’re happy with it. No frills, just fabrics and friendly talk.
