Bed College

Bed College is located in a very peaceful spot at the Swami Narayan Ashram on Talhati Road. It is up in Mount Abu, Rajasthan, which is a bit different from the usual busy city colleges. The air is a lot cooler here and it’s much quieter than the plains below. We are in the Sirohi district, with the pin code 307501. The college is where people come who want to become teachers. It’s a Bachelor of Education program, so the students are mostly young adults who are getting ready for their future careers. Being near the Ashram gives the place a very calm feeling. We don't have the noise of a big city, just the sound of the wind and the occasional visitor to the Ashram grounds. The classrooms are simple and functional. We focus on the practical side of teaching, like how to manage a classroom and plan a lesson. The students often stay nearby or travel up the hill to get here. It’s a small community of learners and instructors. We don't have fancy brochures or big recruitment drives. People find us because they want to study in a place that’s a bit removed from the world. The mountains provide a nice backdrop for studying. It’s a steady, quiet life for everyone at the college. We just go about our business of preparing the next generation of teachers for their future jobs. It is simple work in a nice location.
