Bayasa Fancy Store

Bayasa Fancy Store is located right on the Haiway Bazar in Sheoganj. Because we are near the highway, we get a mix of local people and folks who are just passing through on their way to other cities. It can get pretty loud with the trucks and buses roaring past all day long. We sell a variety of fancy goods, mostly things for women like hair clips, bangles, and colorful threads for sewing. The shop isn't very big, but we make use of every inch. We have shelves filled with boxes of different sizes. Sometimes the dust from the highway comes inside, so we have to clean the shelves almost every morning before we really start. I usually sit near the front door to catch whatever breeze there is. We’ve been here for several years now. It’s a family business, and we don't have any employees, just us. People in Sheoganj know they can find small things here that the bigger stores don't always bother with. We don't have a website or do any social media. We just open the shop, put out the display stands, and wait for customers to come in. It’s a practical way to make a living. We know most of the other shopkeepers in the Haiway Bazar, so we often chat during the quiet times in the afternoon when it’s too hot for many people to be out. The sun usually hits the side of the shop around four.
