Aashapura Sweets

We are located right on the Post Office Road in Sheoganj. It is a central spot so we see a lot of people going about their daily business. Sending mail, paying bills, and then stopping by for a little something sweet. Our shop has been a family thing for a long time. We wake up early to start the milk boiling. That is the main job. Most of our sweets are made from fresh milk and sugar. We do not add any artificial things to make them look bright. If the peda looks a bit brown, it is because the milk was cooked for a long time. That is how it should be. The neighbors know us well. Sometimes they come in just to say hello even if they are not buying anything today. We have a small glass counter where we keep the daily specials. During the wedding season, we get really busy. People order big trays of sweets to give to their guests. We have to hire extra help then, usually some young men from the village. The shop gets a bit cramped with all the boxes stacked up, but we manage. My son is learning the trade now. He helps with the accounts and talking to the customers. We do not do any online delivery or anything like that. You just have to walk in and see what we have made for the day. It is a honest way to work.
