Jhs Svendgaard

Jhs Svendgaard is out on Trilokpur Road Kheri Kala Amb Tehsil - Nahan. It is a bit of a drive to get out here, but once you are on the road, it is actually quite nice to see the open space. The facility is large and we have a lot going on inside. It’s not like a small office in the city. There is a lot of space for everything we do. Most of us arrive early before the sun gets too high. You can hear the sounds of the machinery starting up and people calling out to each other across the floor. Sometimes the birds outside the warehouse are louder than the machines. It’s a very practical environment. We don’t have much in the way of decoration. It is an industrial spot meant for getting work done. We wear our work clothes and don't worry much about looking polished. The dust from the road sometimes blows in, so we are always sweeping up. Kala Amb has its own rhythm, and being out here in Nahan means we are away from the big city noise. We just focus on the tasks at hand and make sure the supplies are where they need to be. It’s a long day of physical work and keeping track of things. We take our breaks together and talk about the local news or the weather. It’s a simple, hardworking life out here on Trilokpur Road.
